I pulled this Hilux out from under the 2022 Northern Rivers flood water after the owner had given up on fixing it. I payed him a little over what the wreckers were offering and started the very slow process of learning how to recondition a flooded car. The engine rebuild took me 6 months to do in between studying full time in university for filmmaking.
The process of learning the mechanical magic behind combustion engines sparked a keen interest in capturing automotive beauty.
This Hilux now serves as Australia's most reliable camera car.
